Juha Leiviskä was one of my heroes as a teenager, I saw his work in the Architecture Review in the late 1980s.
Later, as an architecture student on my Degree course (Manchester School of Architecture) I gained a scholarship to study Finnish Contemporary Architecture. I spent two weeks hitchhiking around Finland in the Summer of 1990 to see his work and also Alvar Aalto’s.
