Casa 804
Located in a pleasant residential neighbourhood, the house is a compact building (almost a cube) surrounded by a 3 meters wide perimeter indispensable courtyard, which is the minimum mandatory gap based on current regulations. The pre-existing yard, the swimming-pool and the shed set at the back of the plot are preserved by express wish of the owners.

Construction is concentrated on the highest part of the site on one level (planning regulations envisage GF+1). The layout of the floor plan is the direct result of the regulatory limits, except on the south side, where the house stops short to provide more space for the garden.

Although the regulations allow the building of a ground floor and two additional floors, the first big decision was to concentrate the layout into just two floors. In this way, the day zone shares the ground floor with the parking, which is incorporated into the functional layout of the dwelling.

Although located in one of the most untouched areas of the Costa Brava, Rosamar housing development is characterized by a mix of different constructions and auto-constructions of a low architectural interest and a large impact on the landscape.

Vacarisses house
The setting of the project is a plot with steep slopes and a great amount of trees and bushes. The aim is building a house without causing any serious impacts on the land. The house will be built on a natural rocky platform. This platform will also be used as either the exit or the garden of the house. The architects and the property developers have agreed on minimizing land movements in order to build the artificial landscaped platforms.

The programme of the building is defined by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya in its “gym-multipurpose room” model for primary schools. The building is as narrow and long as possible, within the margins offered by the regulations, in order to fit the gym and the outdoor track inside the esplanade.
