Architects Gensler design a 200,000-sqft ‘Market Building’ at former Citicorp Center consisting of a new outdoor plaza and terraces, an interior atrium space with retail and restaurants.
601 Lexington Avenue is a 59-story building located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan at East 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue.

This 12-story glass building has a sail-like solar panel ‘veil’ on top plus an illuminated GE logo. It is connected to two renovated brick warehouses.
The new complex overlooks Boston’s Fort Point Channel.

Gensler Surpasses $1 Billion
June 16, this international architecture office surpassed $1 billion in architectural revenue in 2014, setting a record and maintaining its leading status for the fourth consecutive year on Architectural Record’s annual Top 300 Architecture Firms list, which ranks companies based on earnings from the prior year. This international architecture practice made huge gains last year, particularly in domestic revenue, which totaled $778.45 million, and major international clients have tapped the firm to help them expand into the U.S. market. (the architecture practice recently designed Metropolis in Los Angeles, a $1 billion mixed-use project by China-based developer Greenland.) The architecture practice “is a global firm with 46 offices across five continents”.

CUMC recently announced plans for a new, state-of-the-art medical and graduate education building on the CUMC campus in the Washington Heights community of Northern Manhattan. The new building, with a design led by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, in collaboration with this international architecture practice as executive architect, is a 14-storey facility that incorporates technologically advanced classrooms, collaboration spaces, and a modern simulation center, all reflecting how medicine is and will be taught, learned, and practiced in the 21st century.

(“SPSM”), as lead architect for the Villeurbanne-Lyon Arena project, a new 12,000-seat indoor multipurpose arena that includes the Tony Parker Academy, a training academy for promising young basketball players. This architectural project is expected to open in Villeurbanne, France, in April 2015.
