House in Juso – 23 Feb 2012
In the concept for this small house in the vicinity of Aldeia de Juso, the tiniest area of flat land and the house’ s, as well as the high density of the new houses yet to be built in the surroundings, forcibly draw us to some sort of “obsession” about the possibilities of dilating space.

Casa Possanco – 17 Jun 2011
The cultural meeting point joining the house owners and the architects was based on their common interest: an undoubtedly contemporary architecture, but one whose nature and final expression would also be the outcome of a research of the paradigms figuring in the traditional architecture of the region, the Alentejo. The implantation terrain of this small house, located in the village of Possanco, sets the transition area between the new urban strip and the protected agriculture zone. An extensive northbound plain ends far away at the splendid Arrabida mountain ridge.

House in Murtal
This house is located on a tough ground, of whimsical configuration and accentuated slope. In the beginning of the project the view over the Cascais’ bay was wonderful. Now there is the way a bulky urbanization known as “Jardins da Parede”. Previously, the allotment defined the house in its volumetric and in the distribution in two separate volumes, one for inhabiting and another for parking the cars.

House in Grândola
Grândola, the place for which we designed this project is a town we have always loved. Our grandparents and our mother were born here and we always go back there with siblings in the summer. Although the town has fine and abundant specimens of popular Alentejo architecture, the allotment where the house is grounded is recent and peripheral, its urbanization is dense and most of it is pretentious and displaced.
