The Tree House is a newly built, 310-square-meter home in Vancouver located in the Kitsilano neighbourhood. Nestled among mature trees, the house is designed to maximize light and connection to the lush greenery around it. The exterior features a striking black wood-clad facade with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows creating a strong visual contrast against the natural trees.
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by an open-concept main floor that integrates living, dining, and kitchen areas. The interior is defined by clean lines, warm wood tones, and subtle industrial elements. A key focal point is the dramatic staircase, enclosed by vertical black metal rods, creating a sculptural feature while maintaining openness.
The upper-level houses private quarters, including spacious bedrooms and a serene primary suite with large windows offering treetop views.
A cantilevered design element extends part of the upper floor, reinforcing the home’s modernist aesthetic. Thoughtfully placed lighting enhances the ambiance, complementing the natural surroundings.
The landscaping mirrors the home’s design philosophy—minimal yet lush—featuring a mix of native plants, curated pathways, and well-positioned outdoor seating areas.
