The Tree House – the synthesis of tranquil mountainside living and visionary West Coast architecture.
Originally designed by Hassell/Griblin in 1974, it is a unique iteration of the duo’s experimental body of work focused on vertical, voluminous structures often set on unbuildable, difficult sites.
With a modern expansion by D’Arcy Jones Architects, the Tree House offers an unmatched forest living experience with profound architectural lineage.
“Robert Hassell and Barry Griblin graduated from UBC School of Architecture in the mid-1960s, and extended the idealism engendered there to a design/build practice that fostered an intimate dialogue with the landscape and future occupants.”
