Llagostera (Girona), 3 September 2026. — El Molí de l’Estany is an estate of almost 15,000 m² in Llagostera, in the heart of the Costa Brava, designed for those seeking an exclusive experience in a unique setting. The property brings together two buildings with distinct personalities: the Molí de Pedra, the village’s former stone-clad mill, and the Pavelló de l’Estany, a contemporary steel-and-glass structure by RCR Arquitectes, built in 2006 over the pond that, in the 19th century, powered the Molí Gotarra.

Two buildings, one essence

The Pavelló de l’Estany is defined by an architecture integrated into the landscape, with a steel-and-glass structure that engages in dialogue with its surroundings. The main floor houses a living space with kitchen, dining area, sofa, fireplace and television, opening directly onto a terrace with barbecue. On the lower floor the architecture becomes intimate and serene: here are the sleeping quarters and the wellness area, with a heated pool clad entirely in black Zimbabwe granite, a small gym and a Turkish bath. The beds in the bedrooms were created by Girona-born artist Sergi Cadenas.

In the Molí de Pedra, the renovation has created a space centred on a large table that appears to float: a single piece supported by one leg that runs the full length of the mill and becomes the axis of the room. The interior features a high-end Bulthaup kitchen and a lounge area with direct access to the outdoors.

Water, gardens and absolute privacy

The design of the estate celebrates water, the element that historically defined this place. The outdoor pool, black-lined and infinity-edged, recovers the soul of the old pond and acts as a mirror for the sky and the pavilion’s Corten steel façade. Its beach-style entry allows a gradual descent into the water.

The grounds, covering almost 5,000 m², offer a sensory journey through spots such as the Secret Forest, the Aromatic Path and the Holm Oak Corner, a reading nook beneath a century-old tree. Among the additional bathrooms, a roofless outdoor shower set in the woodland stands out, where the tree canopy is the only ceiling.
