Baronesa 22 – São Paulo Home
Located in Bragança Paulista, in the interior of São Paulo, the Baronesa 22 project, designed by Gilda Meirelles Architecture, aimed to create a harmonious dialogue between the external vegetation and the indoor spaces of the residence. Divided into blocks, the spaces are connected by a gallery with glass sealing and wooden brise, which allows natural light to enter throughout the day.
With 700 m², the house features 7 suites, an office, a TV room, and a multipurpose room, all integrated with the terrace and barbecue area, overlooking the pool. Despite being entirely single-story and built on a flat plot, the architecture was designed with varying roof heights, adding dynamism and aesthetic interest to the structure. Additionally, the differentiation of ceiling heights in the interior spaces promotes a sense of fluidity and comfort.
The layout was designed to provide access and a privileged view of both the front garden, where the lap pool is integrated along the entire length of the terrace, and the rear garden, highlighted by a reflecting pool that blends with the landscaping.
The terrace was fully equipped to host the residents’ friends and family; the space features a barbecue, a large dining table, and comfortable sofas. The slatted wooden ceiling adds even more character to the leisure area.
The choice of materials, such as stone and wood, also enhances the harmony between nature and the architecture of the residence. As a result, the project found an elegant and sophisticated way to provide a tranquil experience in the interior of São Paulo.

About Gilda Meirelles Architecture
We are a firm with a large number of residential projects in the interior and coastal areas of São Paulo. We create contemporary architecture with elements of the Brazilian house, bringing a tropical language to the projects with a focus on the use of natural materials and integration with the local landscape, making the buildings well-lit and cozy. With a strong presence in Brazil, we have established a new market with the addition of architect Ligia Meirelles, who, after collaborating with firms in London—where she currently resides—brings her international experience to the firm, along with the acquisition and execution of new projects in Europe.
