John Lewis & Partners has been an integral part of Newcastle’s high street since it was founded as Bainbridge in 1838. Situated in Eldon Square shopping centre, John Lewis & Partners offers four floors of the best in beauty, fashion, homewares and technology alongside The Place to Eat on Floor 2 and ORI Cafe on Floor 1, whose balcony overlooks shoppers below.
Eldon Square Shopping Centre
A portion of Grainger Town was demolished in the 1960s to make way for the Eldon Square Shopping Centre, including all but one side of the original Eldon Square itself.
