We’ve selected what we feel are the key examples of Mexican Architecture Developments. We aim to include interesting design-led Mexican architecture projects.
We cover completed Mexican buildings, new building designs, architectural exhibitions and architecture competitions across Mexico. The focus is on contemporary Mexican buildings but information on traditional buildings is also welcome.

Mexican Studio Building – 23 Apr 2012
Using trapezoidal shapes and with a careful control of perspective, vanishing points are emphasized, achieving a dynamic and fluid space that awakens imagination while stimulating creativity. This building, limited to only 27sqm of footprint, is nested in a small gap originally occupied by a storage-room (between 3 existing constructions), in the backyard of a middle-class house in Mexico City.

New Tamayo Museum building
Set upon a steep hillside in Atizapan on the outskirts of Mexico’s largest metropolis will soon sit the New Tamayo Museum which will serve as a nucleus of education and culture, locally, regionally, and internationally. Named after the Oaxacan born artist Rufino Tamayo (1899-1991) The very strong and symbolic shape of the cross is a direct interpretation of the client’s preliminary program studies that defined the museums optimal functionality.
