Toorak Man-Cave
The first of a number of small interventions into a delightful modernist home in Toorak. This intervention involved the conversion of a hidden basement service area into a space for wine storage, organisation and display.
A suite of elegant timber joinery components were inserted into the utilitarian area to create a moody space.
The owner already had a recently-purchased Modernist home in Toorak. However, although this house was beautiful, he also needed a space to house his wine collection.
It was decided to convert a largely defunct hidden basement service area into a space for wine storage, organisation and display. They new architectural space is intimate and has some lovely moments of extravagance.
