The mixed-use building is notable due to the dramatic curves of the glass exterior. It also showcases an entirely new approach to commissioned art, by incorporating it within the fabric of the building itself.
There are eight floors of office space with only six internal columns, creating City-standard spaces, including two spectacular upper floors beneath the double-height curved glass roof. Eleven retail units feature shop fronts twice the average height for the area.
The residential apartments have their own entrance on North Row.
Net Internal Areas:
Office: 15,140 sq m (163,010 sqft)
Retail: 8,140 sq m (87,660 sqft)
Residential: 5,430 sq m (58,500 sqft)

The contemporary interpretation of leaves are crafted as a metallic shingle, which cover a three storey elevation and rooftop pavilion. The PPC coated folded aluminium leaves – 4,080 in total – subtly vary in tones of bronze to mimic organic growth patterns. The concept was designed over a three year period of research and development working closely with Swiss manufacturer Tuchschmid.

This project is considerably more complex than simply inserting two office buildings into a rich and varied urban context and involves the reworking of the retained fabric as well as new work of exceptional quality. The 14 St George Street office building has been developed behind a terrace on St George Street and replacing a demolished building on Maddox Street.
