CONCEPT

Samer Eid Architect defines the “TOYOTA Exhibition Pavilion” as a living organism, a hybrid space.

The challenge was to combine Toyota and Lexus cars within a mono-space, merging both themes together in an innovative architectural expression.

– TOYOTA “The Platform” is the starting point.

– LEXUS “The Eye” is an organic leaf shaped structure, a protective shell.

The design concept was inspired by the studies of the splines of cars.
This elongated biomorphic shape placed into a rectangular box creates an impression of ascension, in a never-ending movement towards the future.

Materials:
– Flooring: Black semi-gloss Resin
– Structure: Steel Skeleton + Wire Mesh Membrane
– Shell: Opaque double-curved Surfaces covered with Steel
+ Translucent Plexiglas
– Lighting: Neon Rings + Accessories
