Twin Tree Towers in Insadong
Twin Tree Towers are two 17-storey office buildings located in the southeast sector of the 600 years old capital of Korea, Gyeongbuk Palace, Insadong, and Samchungdong.
These are all densely populated and active historical districts in Seoul. With heavy pedestrian traffic, the Twin Trees site is in the axis of all three areas with good views of the Gyeongbuk Palace, Inwang mountain, and Bugak mountain.
The space between the two towers provides public access between these three areas with places to rest, drink eat and converse.
The facades are formed to mimic the shape of an old tree trunk.
