Patrik Schumacher is partner at Zaha Hadid Architects. He joined in 1988 and has since been the co-author of many key projects. Together with Zaha Hadid he built up Zaha Hadid Architects to become a 400 strong global architecture brand.

INGLASS 2014 Architecture Conference
Patrik Schumacher studied philosophy, mathematics and architecture in Bonn, London and Stuttgart, where he received his Diploma in 1990. In 1999 he completed his PhD at the Institute for Cultural Science, Klagenfurt University. In 1996 he founded the “Design Research Laboratory” at the Architectural Association in London and continues to teach in what has become one of the world’s most prestigious architecture programs.
Since 2004 Patrik Schumacher is also tenured professor at the Institute for Experimental Architecture, Innsbruck University and guest professor at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. In 2010 and 2012 he published the two Volumes of his theoretical opus magnum “The Autopoiesis of Architecture”. His lectures and essays in architectural theory are available at www.patrikschumacher.com.
In 2002 Patrik Schumacher curated “Latent Utopias – Experiments within Contemporary Architecture” and he is currently planning the exhibition “Parametricism – The New International Style”.

Once every two years, the European Union awards excellence in architecture. INGLASS Warsaw 2014 has as special guest architect Ósbjørn Jacobsen, the winner of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, Mies van der Rohe Award 2013.

Ósbjørn Jacobsen will present the winning project “Harpa – Reykjavik Concert Hall” on February 4, in Warsaw, within the fourth edition of INGLASS International Architecture Conference.
INGLASS International Architecture Conference is about glass and glass construction, architecture and engineering, facade systems, energy efficiency and sustainability.
INGLASS is addressed to architects, engineers, glass producers, processors, equipment providers and end-users.

INGLASS International Architecture Conference in Poland
The fourth edition of INGLASS International Architecture Conference will take place in Warsaw on 4 Feb 2014 (previously November 27, 2013). INGLASS is about glass and glass construction, architecture and engineering, facade systems, energy efficiency and sustainability.
INGLASS 2013 is open to engineers, architects, glass processors, glass producers, equipment providers and end-users.
This year’s topic is “glass architecture and engineering”.
INGLASS presents the latest applications of glass in architecture, examples of best practice and architectural projects that bring out the importance of glass.
Internationally renowned architects, awarded for their recent and most representative projects for the built environment and leading companies in the glass industry will present solutions, products and state-of-the-art technologies. The Special Guest of the third edition of INGLASS, held on March 5, in Bucharest, was Prof. Wolf D. Prix, co-founder, Design Principal and CEO of COOP HIMMELB(L)AU, AUSTRIA.
INGLASS Warsaw 2013 is the 11th international architecture conference organized by ABplus Events and partners, alongside GIS (interior architecture, design, lighting design) and RIFF (architecture and habitat, roofs, insulations, facades).
Alongside Wolf D. Prix, other special guests of the conferences organised to date have been: Giorgio Borruso (GIS 2013), Tony Fretton (RIFF 2012), Nini Andrade Silva (GIS 2012), Paolo Brescia (INGLASS 2012), Werner Sobek (RIFF 2011), Alan Leo Plestina (GIS 2011), Dan Sergiu Hanganu (INGLASS 2011).
