Dimple Soni, India
Dimple Soni is an architect, designer, educator and critic. A Henry Wolf scholar, she has studied Design Criticism from School of Visual Arts, New York. Previously a faculty in Industrial and Communication Design at National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India, where she also chaired the Exhibition Design department. Dimple has taught multiple design courses at graduate and undergraduate levels. She was a principal designer for several institutional consultancy projects, primarily related to spatial, interior and furniture design. Situated on the groovy Apgujung Road of Gangnam, Seoul, the five storey Chunga building was once a corner-curved structure, composed of stereotype rhythm of beige horizontal bands and glass windows, housing multiple branded stores and offices, each combating for its sole and loud identity to display its dominance.
