Gray Puksand, in close partnership with Lendlease, Infrastructure Canberra, and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), is proud to be shaping the delivery of a bold and transformative vision for Woden, Canberra. This landmark development brings together a state-of-the-art vocational training campus, a dedicated youth foyer and a major new public transport interchange—all designed to act as catalysts for urban renewal, social equity, and sustainable growth to Woden Town Centre.
Located adjacent to the Woden Town Centre, the new 22,500m² CIT campus will accommodate up to 6,500 students, offering a contemporary and highly sustainable learning environment.
The facility includes smart classrooms, advanced simulated learning spaces, commercial kitchens, and hands-on training areas—empowering students to thrive in high-demand fields such as IT, cyber security, design, hospitality, and business.
The development reflects the ACT Government’s commitment to innovation, inclusion, and lifelong learning, and will make a significant and lasting contribution to the quality and accessibility of vocational education and training in the region.
At the heart of the precinct, the new public transport interchange will feature an expanded and upgraded bus interchange, integrated with the future Woden light rail terminus—effectively future-proofing connectivity to Canberra’s south.
This vital infrastructure will not only enhance transport efficiency but also improve access to education, community services, and surrounding retail and commercial areas, supporting a more connected and activated precinct.
Complementing the educational and transport infrastructure, the youth foyer will provide secure accommodation and wraparound support services for young people who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness. This integrated model will enable young people to pursue education and training in a safe, supportive environment—creating real pathways to independence and opportunity.
Together, Gray Puksand, Lendlease, Infrastructure Canberra and CIT are delivering a future-ready precinct that will stimulate the local economy, elevate educational outcomes, and reinforce Canberra’s position as Australia’s knowledge capital.
