PABLO was conceived as an explicit homage to the design spirit of Pablo Dellatorre. More than a dedication, the space proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of his way of understanding architecture and design: a practice shaped by material rigor, precision in detail, and a profound sensitivity toward craft.
Presented as part of CASA FOA Córdoba 2026, the project uses the gourmet kitchen as a platform to reflect on cooking not merely as a functional act, but as a ritual. Under this premise, fire becomes the conceptual and operational core of the space, organizing the entire architectural experience around the transformation of raw matter.
The proposal is structured around a large central station composed of two operational monoliths where the main action takes place. Around them, a series of complementary elements build a spatial sequence connected to the gastronomic universe: a visible cold-storage display presents ingredients and products in the foreground; a fire-cooking area incorporates a grill and wood storage; while a wine cellar and a specialized library complete an environment conceived for gathering, contemplation, and culinary experimentation.
The architecture deliberately distances itself from the idea of the kitchen as a decorative object. Instead, it proposes a space where matter regains depth, weight, and honesty. Each material was selected to express its own nature without disguise: exposed metals, natural wood, stone, dark surfaces, and imperfect textures coexist within an austere yet precise language, where time, use, and the traces of labor become essential parts of the proposal.
The project’s artisanal dimension permeates every decision. From custom-made elements to the way material junctions were resolved, the space reclaims the value of manual work, technique, and carefully crafted detail. Rather than pursuing scenographic perfection, “PABLO” seeks to communicate authenticity: an architecture where nothing is excessive and every element finds meaning through its function, materiality, and method of construction.
The project was developed by Etéreo Arquitectos — a Tucumán-based studio led by Santiago Vittar, Daniel Tello, and Diego Madrid — and received the First Mention in Architecture and Design at CASA FOA Córdoba 2026.
Within an edition focused on contemporary ways of inhabiting and experiencing space, “PABLO” proposes a pause. A place where cooking is once again understood as an essential act: fire, matter, and craft transformed into experience.
