According to this London architecture firm:
The company was founded in 1995 and is led by two directors, Christopher Bagot and Oliver Salway, backedby an enthusiastic and committed team. Work by this London design practice has been published and exhibited worldwide.
The architecture firm have received many accolades during their career, including RIBA awards, ‘Building of the Year’ from the Royal Fine Arts Commission, ‘Best in Show’ from Design Week and prestigious ‘Yellow Pencils’ from D&AD. Of equal value however are the testimonials from satisfied clients and users and the number of ongoing relationships that have built up over the years.
This architecture office was formed following the success of the proposal by a group including its founding directors for the Cardiff Bay Opera House, Wales, UK, which was one of eight finalists in an international open design competition.
In 1999, the practice’ design for a shelter for visitors to Kielder Forest National Park, Northumbria, England, was nominated for the Stirling Prize and won a number of awards including the Stephen Lawrence Prize, and a Royal Fine Art Commission Building of the Year Award.
The extension of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen, south west England, completed in 2004 received a regional award from the RIBA, while the design studio’s first significant new build project, a mixed use apartment and office building, The Wireworks in Southwark, South London, was voted ‘Best Interior Layout’ in the Daily Telegraph ‘What House?’ Awards.
