JAX 01, the innovative exhibition space anchoring Saudi Arabia’s debut art biennial featuring works by 60+ participating artists, through March 11, 2022. Designed by this New York-based global architecture firm with Q Design and Craft as the executive architect, the 7,000-square-meter warehouse-turned-exhibition space of free-flowing interiors and exteriors behind a dynamic facade, promises to become a showpiece of its own.

Designed by Hollwich Kushner (HWKN) as a prototype for future Steven Alan locations in Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas, the Portland store imbues a local character to a modular design. Building on his reputation for scouting the most intriguing young designers, Steven Alan turned to Hollwich Kushner (HWKN) to envision a national expansion beyond the 20 existing retail locations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Connecticut.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, so goes the Pavilion. The Fire Island Pines Pavilion, destroyed in 2011 by a devastating fire, is now near completion, once again giving the Pines community a central hub for culture and nightlife. The reincarnation of the legendary dance club is designed by New York-based Hollwich Kushner (HWKN) and developed by Blesso Properties.

The Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation and Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, announce the international installation of Wendy Abroad, the HWKN (Hollwich Kushner)-designed air-purifying structure, during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. Wendy made her first appearance in New York City as the winner of the 2012 MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program when she was previously on display during the summer Warm-Up concert series.

Aging in Africa sets out to be the first age-valued community on the African continent where the elderly can maintain a meaningful and healthy lifestyle in a comfortable and safe environment. It is a retirement community for Catholic priests that are excluded from the traditional, family based, model of elder care in Cote D’Ivoire.

Hard on the heels of a devastating fire last November, Fire Island Pines has unveiled dramatic and far-reaching plans for the rebuilding of the legendary Pavilion dance club, developed by FIP Ventures and designed by New York architects HWKN (Hollwich Kushner).

New York based office HWKN (HollwichKushner) announced by The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1 as winner of the annual Young Architects Program (YAP) in New York. As winners of the 13th edition of the program, HWKN will construct an outdoor summer installation at the PS1 courtyard in Long Island City. The winning proposal, known as ‘Wendy’, was selected from five finalists and will provide a setting for the popular Warm Up summer music series.
