HOK sport architecture
As designers of some of the world’s most identifiable sports and entertainment buildings, this sports architecture firm is leading the way to define a building type which has played an increasing influence in the architectural fabric of modern cities. The firm’s diverse portfolio has, over the last twelve months, seen the designs take shape for Wembley Stadium, Wimbledon AELTC, Lansdowne Road and the O2 Arena. Undoubted highlights of the year to date have been the successful high-profile openings of three major projects.
Beginning with the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic Speed skating rink, followed by the starters gun at Ascot Racecourse during Royal Ascot week, and most recently the much anticipated kick off of the Dennis Bergkamp testimonial at Emirates Stadium. Info from HOK, architects, 2 Nov 2007
