Pendry Nashville Residential Tower, TN, USA
Designed by Nashville-based architecture firm ESa, Pendry Nashville will be the tallest and most architecturally significant tower in the heart of the vibrant Paseo South Gulch district, once complete. Rising 30 stories, the under-construction project marks Pendry’s first combined hotel and residential offering in Tennessee, bringing together 146 private residences and 180 guestrooms and suites within a refined vertical community.
Conceived as a landmark for the growing district, the tower presents expansive layouts, elevated materials, and sweeping views of Music City, reflecting both the creative energy of Nashville and the brand’s signature sophistication. ESa approached the project as an opportunity to define a new architectural presence within a district where historic structures and modern development converge.
The tower’s jewel-like façade unfolds through gently undulating glass planes, creating a dynamic play of reflection and depth that shifts throughout the day. This subtle curvature gives the building a textured, sculptural identity, distinguishing it on the skyline while maintaining harmony with its surroundings.
The symmetrical plan recedes at the upper levels, forming terraces and amenity spaces that frame panoramic views of Nashville and introduce moments of openness within the vertical form. These carved setbacks balance the tower’s height with a softened silhouette, offering outdoor spaces that serve both the hotel and the residences above.
At the street level, ESa’s design of Pendry Nashville carefully integrates the project into the historic fabric of Paseo South Gulch. The first two levels feature a masonry base inspired by Tennessee’s native stone, grounding the contemporary glass tower in its surrounding neighborhood. Sage-green brick panels subtly shift in and out between floors, echoing the gentle undulation of the façade above and establishing continuity with the district’s existing buildings. Thin concrete planes and steel entry doors bring a crafted, tactile quality to the entry, creating a thoughtful, human-scaled arrival.
Within the tower, the hotel occupies the lower floors, offering a contemporary hospitality experience shaped by Pendry’s focus on elevated design and intuitive service. Above, Pendry Residences Nashville provides the privacy of home paired with the comforts of a luxury hotel. The residences feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows, 10-foot ceiling heights, and expansive one- to four-bedroom layouts, including ten penthouses.
Interiors by Post Company feature custom Italian-crafted cabinetry, natural stone selections, and a restrained palette that complements ESa’s architectural vision. At the pinnacle of the tower, The Paseo Penthouse offers nearly 6,000 square feet of interiors and a 1,055-square-foot private terrace, accessible by a dedicated elevator.
Developed by SomeraRoad and set within the firm’s vision for Paseo South Gulch, the tower strengthens a district defined by walkability, adaptive reuse, and cultural vibrancy. Surrounded by acclaimed dining, wellness, and distinctive retail destinations, Pendry Nashville reinforces Paseo South Gulch as one of Nashville’s desirable places to live, stay, and gather.
With construction underway and completion expected in 2027, the project represents a significant architectural moment for Nashville. Through its sculptural form, material sensitivity, and integration of hotel and residential life, ESa’s design brings new clarity and character to the skyline while shaping the future of an evolving neighborhood.
