Shell Aberdeen new headquarters

Shell is now looking at the best options for a workplace which would be “fit for the future”. Asked whether the company would consider relocating to the city centre, Shell’s spokesman said “we’re looking at all options”.

Union Square proposals include a 15 storey hotel tower designed by architects Benoy. The £200m expansion of this shopping mall is on behalf of Hammerson.
An application for planning in principle has been submitted for a new hotel and expanded retail, cinema and multi-storey car park. The development’s 120-bed hotel tower of up to 72m is due to rise above a parking and retail deck, possibly fronting onto Market Street, with a design inspired by the Northeast Scotland port city’s maritime heritage.
