ON DISPLAY
The studio exhibits the project for the new Vimar logistics and production hub in Marostica.
Vimar is a historic company that is strongly established in the area. It has been producing plates, switches and systems for managing electrical energy since 1945.
The landscape is typically Venetian, with the hills and the plateau, the crenellated towers that mark the sequence of the walls. The new complex in Marostica is located along one of the main access routes to the city. It is divided into three main functional areas: the finished product warehouse, the semi-finished warehouse and the production. These areas are then flanked by a pole for the technological centers, offices and services.
“Light” is the theme of the company, of its “new” home and warehouses.
The warehouses and related areas (technological center and mezzanine for laboratories and offices) are gathered in a single building. The mezzanine, which faces south and houses offices and laboratories, enjoys the light transferred from the large floor-to-ceiling windows.
The warehouse, with its 10 meters height, is illuminated by a zenith light that mixes with the one from the mezzanine. The production, offices and services (canteens and meeting rooms) are gathered in another two-storey building.
The project dialogue with the green surroundings through the insertion of large patios, real hanging gardens that function as a prelude, to transmit air and light inside.
Interior layout and design, on which the exhibition focuses, realize the intention of creating an ecology of the workspace aimed at micro-environmental comfort and psychological and emotional well-being, mediating the technical needs, both in the portions dedicated to deposits, both in the part of the offices.
