This expansive luxury residence is located within The Reserve, a premium new development inside Gibbston Valley Resort on Gibbston Valley Station.

Spanning over 1,000 acres, the station has long been home to the renowned Gibbston Valley Winery & Lodge, and is now being transformed in stages into a full-scale resort community, offering an unparalleled lifestyle in the heart of Central Otago’s wine country.

Set on a prominent, elevated front lot within the development, the home enjoys sweeping views across the newly established nine-hole golf course, with a striking outlook toward the iconic Crown Range mountains. Its position was carefully chosen to take advantage of natural light and the expansive alpine landscape, ensuring both privacy and connection to its spectacular surroundings.

The design draws inspiration from the region’s high-country heritage. Presented as a timeless schist-clad lodge, the home is arranged into three gabled pavilions connected by glazed linkways. This form not only references traditional alpine structures but also allows a natural flow between living, entertaining, and private spaces. Solid schist stonework grounds the home with a sense of permanence, complemented by two substantial stacked stone chimneys that service both internal and external fireplaces.

Inside, soaring gable ceilings and generous glazing create a light-filled, open atmosphere that enhances the sense of scale. The main pavilion extends seamlessly outdoors to a covered entertaining terrace, framed by robust stone pillars and half-height walls that define the space while maintaining openness to the views.
