Hampton Houseis a new family home was designed to capture the views of port Philip bay whilst protect from the train line close by. Designed to be both an inward looking protected and private dwelling as well as an outward looking home, the materials were a reflection of its surround beach environment.
What was the brief?
Windiate architects pty ltd were asked to design a family home to capture views to the bay, yet protect from the harsh bay winds and rain as well as the noisy train line crossing opposite the house.
What were the key challenges?
creating a house that offered views yet protected the internal spaces from harsh weather and noise.
Key products used:
VM anthra zinc, Boral black bricks, honed and standard grey blocks, blackbutt timber cladding and decking
