Passerelle de la Paix in Lyon

The Grand Lyon is building a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Rhone.

The bridge will link the 6th arrondissement in Lyon to the Park of Saint‐Clair at Caluire‐et‐Cuire.
On 12 December 2013 a highlight of the bridge construction will take place.

The 220 m long and 800 tons steel structure will be assembled on the bank of the Rhone and will be put in place.
The bridge will be set onto two pontoons in pulled in its final position.
It is a spectacular and unique event.
