Intro
War left terrible wounds in the Lebanese Society.
Deep psychological injury … physical damage …
Now, War has ended … but not the suffering.
Fields of mine still exist …
Bodies fall … Victims multiply …
Their wounds remain open sores …
The Story
“The betrayal of the Land”
A Mine is buried into the ground … kept hidden to the eye, unrevealed, unseen …
A fatal touch … the explosion …
Death, mutilation, disfigurement, trauma …
Disability …
The Land has become the enemy …
The Mission
“Reconcile the Body with the Land”
The floating Body rises … and transcends reality …
A glorious struggle …
Labor, Creativity, Hope, Life …
The Scar turns into Light.
The Body has accepted its mut(il)ation … its mutation.
Body and Land become one …
Constant reminder of our collective obsessions …
