The development takes the form of a chain, the turns of which weave the houses and nature together to form a whole. The chain is unbroken, but in its movements it divides the development into smaller enclaves. The landscape slips into the centre of the development, and there are no sharp divisions between the buildings and their surroundings; you feel you are living in an open landscape.

The chain development consists of two-storey terraced houses and single-storey courtyard garden houses. The individual dwellings are staggered in relation to each other – both vertically and horizontally – which emphasises their individual character.

The development’s central square and common building is the hub of the community, while semi-public squares in the enclaves form the backdrop to secure and manageable neighbourly relations.

Besides making use of the good view possibilities, the houses have been organised on the basis of the wish to create bright dwellings which admit daylight from two sides of the central living-room. The good light qualities are reinforced by the hoods, which rise up in almost periscope-like fashion above the rest of the roof construction to capture the light. They contribute with a high sidelight and a varied play of light.
