Entasis was established by Christian and Signe Cold. The Copenhagen architecture practice was formed in 1996. The first building designed by the office was Copenhagen Zoo’s new main entrance. The design was awarded the AIA Prize ‘Best Building in Europe 1998’.
In 2007 this Danish design firm won the open international competition for the redevelopment of the former Carlsberg brewery site in Copenhagen. Their design proposal was inspired by dense, Medieval town centres.
