A shower pan that performs correctly is invisible. One that doesn’t will make itself known, and in a commercial property, the consequences go well beyond a single bathroom.

Every shower needs a base that channels water reliably toward the drain and prevents it from migrating into surrounding structures. That’s the job. When the pan is properly manufactured and installed, water goes where it’s supposed to go. The subfloor stays dry. The walls stay intact. The surrounding units in a stacked multifamily building or a hotel with rooms above and below aren’t affected.

When the pan fails, the damage isn’t contained. Water finds its way into subfloors, wall cavities, and adjacent spaces. Wood rots. Mold develops.
