Bespoke Glass Chandeliers at a Waterfront Residence in Manalapan, Florida

5 October 2026

At 110 Churchill Way in Manalapan, Florida, the boundary between the house and its waterfront setting is deliberately thin. Tall expanses of glass bring daylight into the residence and keep the Intracoastal Waterway in view from its main living spaces. Inside, pale surfaces meet dark, reflective stone, creating rooms that feel connected but have distinct moods.

That contrast is particularly visible in the home’s two dining areas. Adams Development Group commissioned Shimale Peleg – Light in Art to create a custom chandelier for each space. The installations share a material language, yet each responds to the scale and character of the room around it.

The formal dining table sits within the open living area, framed by glazing and a series of dark stone columns. Above it, the DragonFly chandelier spreads across the length of the table. Its softly contoured glass forms introduce movement against the room’s straight architectural lines. A dark ceiling panel gives the composition a defined place overhead, while the open plan allows it to be seen from several points in the house. From a distance, the chandelier marks the dining area without enclosing it.

Across the residence, the kitchen and adjoining dining area offer a different atmosphere. White cabinetry and broad windows make this space feel bright and open. Here, Shimale Peleg’s Sunbeam installation is composed of individual glass pendants suspended at varied heights above the table. Their vertical arrangement gives the gathering place its own center, while leaving sightlines through the kitchen and toward the outdoors unobstructed.

The difference between the two chandeliers is part of the project’s rhythm. DragonFly brings a broad sculptural gesture to the darker, more formal setting. Sunbeam introduces a lighter, cascading form to the everyday dining space. Both were made for their locations, with their proportions considered in relation to the tables, surrounding materials, and views.

In a house where daylight and reflections continually change the appearance of the rooms, the glass installations have a presence beyond their role as light sources. They catch the light during the day and define the dining spaces after dark, giving each room its own identity within the larger waterfront home.
