The 7 Most Impressive Buildings in Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas isn’t renowned for its nostalgia, especially when it comes to real estate. In a city where building implosions are a cause for celebration, the design and architecture of the buildings in the city are in constant flux. If you want to see some of the most impressive buildings in Sin City, check out the list below.
Impressive Las Vegas Buildings
Nevada Supreme Court
Although the Nevada supreme court may be brand new, but its exquisite aesthetic is what stands it out amidst its surroundings. Commissioned in 2017, the marble building is designed in a similar fashion to other courthouses, including the U.S. Supreme Court building. It is best to visit this building around sunset if you want to genuinely grasp the beauty of it.
The gold dome on top of the building glistens in the setting sunlight, as do the matching doors. The Roman columns that provide support to the two-story structure lend a dashing look to the downtown Las Vegas region.
Historic Fifth Street School
If you ever get to visit downtown Las Vegas, be sure to seek out this school. Formerly known as Las Vegas Grammar School, this structure is a popular locale for events and weddings. The building which is designed in a Spanish Revival-style structure is also home to the Las Vegas Design Center for the School of Architecture.
The Mob Museum
Situated few kilometers away from the Historic Fifth Street, the Mob Museum is the only one of its kind in the United States. The museum, which has a neoclassical design, sits inside the former Las Vegas Post Office, and although its neoclassical design seems out of place amongst the neon-lit casinos and law offices, its towering edifice remains a popular stop for locals and tourists alike.
Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health
The Lou Ruvo Center is one of the most impressive buildings in Las Vegas and is a must-seek for anyone visiting Las Vegas. Indeed, the Deconstructivist structure appears like it jumped out of a Salvador Dali painting. This melted cubic structure, which was designed by architect Frank Gehry has been a wonderful sight since it was opened in 2010. The Lou Ruvo is, without a doubt, an architectural landmark.
Bellagio Hotel & Casino

This is one of the most appealing architectural designs in Las Vegas, as its beauty is synonymous with Sin City. It is safe to say that the iconic tower and fountains of the Bellagio Hotel is one of the many structures that make Las Vegas the beautiful city it is. Set behind the famous Fountains of Bellagio, this luxury Las Vegas strip hotel and casino offers an upscale day spa, multiple dining options, resorts, and fascinating casinos with many poker tables.
Some even argue that the best time to appreciate the Bellagio hotel is at night when the glitz and sophisticated night light of Bellagio is best experienced. However, regardless of when you visit this unique architectural work, you are surely going to be in awe of the design. Bellagio is a must-see for anyone visiting Las Vegas, as your tour wouldn’t be complete without a photograph at the Bellagio.
The Fashion Show Mall
The Fashion Show Mall looks like a mall made for outer space. The signature feature of the shopping complex is called “The Cloud,” a hovering steel and concrete element that provides shade and a projection space for the mall. The Cloud gave the mall a look all its own, making it stand out among the glitter and the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip.
You can spend an entire day at the Fashion Show Mall, and when you’ve had your fill of shopping, you can walk to The Venetian, The Palazzo, The Mirage or T.I. There is no doubt that this building should be a must-see on your next trip to Las Vegas.
The Luxor Hotel & Casino

The Luxor is one of the more complicated architectural designs on the Strip. Emulating the pyramids of Egypt, the over 4,000-room property incorporates a variety of architectural styles. The light beam at the top of the pyramid is the strongest in the world, visible up to 300 miles (483 kilometers) away. The replica of the Great Sphinx measures over 100 feet (30 meters) high and is a favorite spot to stop for photos.
