House S, located in the private neighbourhood of Tortugas CC, has undergone a comprehensive renovation that transformed it completely. This architectural project by Valdemarin, in collaboration with Siuk Studio, has not only revamped the home’s aesthetics but also enhanced
its functionality and comfort, creating the perfect weekend retreat.

The intervention introduces a textured cladding, replacing the old terracotta exposed brick facade with a sophisticated natural tone that brightens the exterior of the home. This dramatic change not only modernizes the house’s appearance but also harmonizes with the
neighborhood’s natural surroundings. The addition of a new adjacent volume, featuring a fireplace and a grill, invites social gatherings and outdoor living, making it an ideal space for family reunions and social events throughout the year.

The interior combines elegance and comfort, with a meticulous renovation of all the furnishings. Each element was carefully selected to create a harmonious atmosphere. The lighting fixtures,textile textures, and paint colors have been blended into a serene palette of beige, gray, and dark wood tones, complemented by the travertine marble fireplace.

Large glazed openings flood the spaces with natural light, creating a play of light, shadows, reflections, and new hues that connect the interior with the outdoor garden. Artwork from the owners’ personal collection, curated by the studio, adds a touch of personality and warmth, making each room an extension of their lifestyle.

Valdemarin and Siuk Studio not only managed the architectural design but also created custom-made furniture. The sofas and beds were specifically designed for the house, offering a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics.

One of the most successful decisions was unifying the wood tone across all cladding, openings, and the staircase, generating visual coherence that brings serenity and fluidity to the spaces. This attention to detail not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also creates a perfectly integrated environment.

In pursuit of sustainability, part of the renovation involved reusing existing materials. The stone that previously covered the playroom was repurposed for the powder room and the grill flooring. The renovated playroom has become a serene and comfortable space, ideal for children to play and gather in a safe environment.

The renovation of House S at Tortugas is a brilliant example of how a thoughtful approach to interior design and architecture can turn a house into a true home. From the new facade to the interiors, every aspect of this architectural project tells a story of renewal and style.

La Casa S, ubicada en el barrio privado de Tortugas CC, ha sido objeto de una reforma que la cambió por completo. Este proyecto arquitectónico de Valdemarin con colaboración de Siuk Studio ha transformado no solo la estética de la vivienda, sino también su funcionalidad y confort, creando un refugio perfecto para disfrutar los fines de semana.

La intervención introduce un revestimiento texturado, que transforma el antiguo ladrillo visto terracota de la fachada, dando lugar a un sofisticado tono natural que ilumina el exterior de la vivienda. Este cambio radical no solo moderniza la apariencia de la casa, sino que también se alinea con el entorno natural del barrio. La adición de un nuevo volumen contiguo, con un hogar y una parrilla invita a socializar y disfrutar de la vida al aire libre, creando un espacio ideal para reuniones familiares y eventos sociales tanto en verano como en invierno.

El interior combina elegancia y comodidad, se llevó a cabo una meticulosa renovación de todo el mobiliario, donde cada elemento fue seleccionado cuidadosamente para crear un ambiente armonioso. Los artefactos de iluminación, las texturas de los textiles y los colores en pintura se han amalgamado en una paleta serena que incluye tonos beige, gris y madera oscura, complementados por el mármol travertino del hogar.

Las grandes aberturas vidriadas permiten que la luz natural inunde los espacios, creando un juego de luces y sombras, reflejos y nuevas tonalidades que facilitan la conexión con el parque exterior. Las obras de arte de la colección personal de los dueños curada por el estudio, añaden un toque de personalidad y calidez, convirtiendo cada habitación en una extensión de su estilo de vida.

Valdemarin y Siuk Studio no solo se ocuparon del diseño arquitectónico, sino que también se dedicaron a crear piezas de amoblamiento. Los sofás y camas fueron diseñados específicamente para la casa, ofreciendo un equilibrio perfecto entre funcionalidad y estética. Una de las decisiones más acertadas fue unificar el tono de la madera en todos los revestimientos, aberturas y en la escalera, generando una coherencia visual que aporta serenidad y fluidez a los espacios. Esta atención al detalle no solo mejora la estética general, sino que también crea un ambiente perfectamente integrado.

En una búsqueda por promover la sostenibilidad, parte de la reforma incluyó la reutilización de materiales existentes. La piedra que antes revestía el playroom se utilizó para el toilette y el solado de la parrilla. El playroom, renovado y adaptado, se ha transformado en un espacio sereno y cómodo, ideal para que los más pequeños de la familia jueguen y se encuentren en un entorno seguro.La reforma de Casa S en Tortugas es un brillante ejemplo de cómo un enfoque consciente en el diseño de interiores y la arquitectura puede transformar una vivienda en un verdadero hogar.

Desde la nueva fachada hasta los interiores, cada parte de este proyecto arquitectónico cuenta una historia de renovación y estilo.
