TERADADESIGN – Key Project
N Building, Tokyo, Japan
Date built: 2010

N Building
N Building is a commercial structure located near Tachikawa station amidst a shopping district. Being a commercial building signs or billboards are typically attached to its facade which we feel undermines the structures’ identity. As a solution we thought to use a QR Code as the facade itself.
By reading the QR Code with your mobile device you will be taken to a site which includes up to date shop information. In this manner we envision a cityscape unhindered by ubiquitous signage and also an improvement to the quality and accuracy of the information itself.

Terada design as a “first-class architect office”, conducts three operations: firstly is the architecture and interior design; Secondly product design, furniture and accessories; thirdly is a graphic design, such as signs and pictograms.
Regards as important elements that make up the space, respectively, but those three services differ precisely how to express and you want to continue working. I think space, product, and graphic scale for all happy and feel rich, and not put off anyone with eyes and eyes softly smiling air would like to propose.
For example, product brand “mokei” is a product of emotions expressed in 1 / 100 scale in the space that has been deformed and15.0% is making a variety of items from its ice cream spoons, ice cream, go expanded spatial plans. It is to make space consisting of a smiling ice cream stuff oneself.
Softly smiling scene will put off anyone with eyes and eyes, to make it happen, must be shared among the people to catch and to design a cultural background. To suggest the margins can be very creative people catch on that basis, we are interested.
