Belsize Park House
This modern reinterpretation of the classic cottage has been completed in the Belsize Park conservation area of Northwest London. The dwelling is conceived as two partially sunken volumes – one in rough Welsh slate and the other in sharp white render, both set back from the road.

Cruickshank Street House
Two houses, described by committee members as ‘uncompromisingly contemporary’, sited in the New River Conservation Area. The house facing Cruickshank Street is formed of two interlocking volumes.

One is faced in render and the other constructed using hand cut slate bricks. The second house, discretely set back from the street and surrounded by Sycamore trees, replaces an existing derelict building.

Noble Yard House
This Islington architecture practice were runners up in the Urban Splash Northshore housing competition, have completed two unique family dwellings tucked behind Camden Passage in Islington. The two houses, for local developer Noble House, were built on a disused car park and are based around a series of private courtyards.

The first house is an ‘upside down’ three bedroom property with a courtyard garden and roof terrace. The second 4 bedroom house is arranged around three courtyard gardens

Tasou Associates is a RIBA‑chartered architecture and design studio based in Clerkenwell, London, United Kingdom. Founded in 1988 by Tom and Paul Tasou, the practice has been designing built work for over three decades, working across private residential, housing, commercial and mixed‑use projects.

The studio adopts a fabric‑first approach, prioritising sustainability, energy efficiency and material performance in its designs. This includes engagement with standards such as Passivhaus, EnerPHit and BREEAM, and careful consideration of both operational energy use and embodied carbon in materials, aiming to create buildings that are comfortable and healthy throughout the year.

Notable projects by the practice include innovative residential schemes such as Canal House along Regent’s Canal, which carefully responds to its waterside context with angled walls and robust brickwork, and Chadwell Mews, a subtle infill residential development integrating sunken courtyards and high‑quality detailing. These projects illustrate Tasou’s commitment to context‑driven design and spatial quality.
