Jamie Fobert said: “I am so honoured and thankful to have been appointed a CBE. When I arrived in London from Canada in 1988, I never imagined anything like this could happen. I have been more than content to be able to practice in Britain these 30 years, alongside a great number of talented and generous colleagues, engineers and consultants. I have been privileged to work with local communities from St Ives to Coventry on many wonderful projects and, most importantly, with the most incredible set of clients any architect could hope for.

Architectureis not an individual pursuit; I owe so much to so many. I’m very thankful for the life I have been given in the UK and for the generous and welcoming spirt that has been my experience of the British people.”
