Haus Wiesenhof
The house communicates with the dominant mountain range, with every view resembling a painting. The decision to utilise archaic materials was made quite consciously to quote the surrounding farmsteads. The client wanted an atmosphere that was light and airy, but also cosy.

Hotel Wiesergut
In December 2012, Hotel Wiesergut in Hinterglemm/Salzburger Land was re-opened after a complex renovation and extension. The goal of the architectural concept was to upgrade the existing traditional structure with puristic architecture. Monika Gogl therefore worked very consciously with contrasting materials such as local wood, natural stone, granite, glass and exposed concrete.
Hotel SCHWARZER ADLER – the longest roof-pool in the Alps Kitzbühel, Tyrol, Austria
Architects: Monika Gogl & Partner
STATE PRIZE FOR ARCHITECTURE, 2008 The winning project concerns the conversion and the extension of a typical Tyrolese hotel building from the 80s. The task was to construct a roof terrace with a swimming pool and a roofed kitchen block. In connection with this, the existing roof storey was converted and new hotel rooms were constructed in this area. According to their press release, the jury was persuaded by the architects’ ‚courage to use a decidedly contemporary language of form, without quoting alpine clichés.‘ (Der Standard, 22/10/2008).

About GOGL ARCHITECTS – Monika Gogl
GOGL ARCHITECTS was founded in 2001 by Monika Gogl. After her study of architecture at the Technical University of Innsbruck, Monika Gogl graduated from the Masters programme at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. From 1997 – 2000 she managed the office collective Ma’nGO in Innsbruck.
For many years, Ma’nGO generated individual and unmistakeable architecture and interior design projects. In cooperation with designer Isabel Hamm and Akzente Licht, exclusive lights and lighting systems were developed for almost all projects.
The conversion of Hotel Schwarzer Adler in Kitzbühel won the state prize for architecture and was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe prize and constitutes a convincing and contemporary adaptation of the existing structure without ‘lapsing [into an] incorrectly understood homely idyll.’ GOGL ARCHITECTS currently has offices in Lans bei Innsbruck and Sallfelden.
