26 September 2013 – Benoy, a world leader in Architecture, Masterplanning, Interior Architecture and Graphic Design celebrates its fifth anniversary in Singapore this year; growing from landmark beginnings along the famous Orchard Road to its appointment on two of the country’s most anticipated future developments at Singapore Changi Airport.

Establishing its presence in Asia in 2002, Benoy opened its Singapore office in 2008 to design and implement ION Orchard in the country’s premier shopping district. Already recognised as a truly global player and a leading creative force internationally, the Orchard Road development kick-started Benoy’s ultimately natural progression and award-winning profile in the island country.

In five short years, the company’s Singapore Team has flourished from two at its establishment to now over 25. Conveniently placed for business in the Southeast Asia region, the office has forged partnerships with prominent local and international developers, undertaking projects not only in Singapore, but Malaysia, Indonesia and India also; encapsulating the company’s success story in markets abroad.

Currently the world-class multi-modal transport hub, Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC) in Malaysia, is being delivered by a joint team working from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

The future continues to shine brightly for Benoy in Singapore. Announced as the Lead Concept Design Architect and Interior Designer to deliver the new Terminal 4 at Singapore Changi Airport, Benoy further reinforces its strong reputation in the country and in airport and transport-orientated design. Complementing this appointment is Benoy’s involvement in Changi Airport Group’s ‘Project Jewel’, with a scope encompassing Interior Design, Retail Planning and Aviation Facilities for the iconic mixed-use complex envisaged as a world-class, signature lifestyle destination at Changi Airport.

Reflecting on the fifth anniversary of the Singapore office this year, Simon Blore shared his views on the region’s success: “Singapore is an incredibly exciting and dynamic environment for Benoy. Since entering the market in 2008 with ION Orchard, Benoy’s presence has grown in a remarkably short time. Our well-established and well-respected reputation has led to our involvement in two of the country’s most significant future developments at Changi Airport. The Singapore market demands innovative and distinctive architecture and Benoy has become recognised for its contemporary yet enduring design, paving the way for many more years of success in the Lion City and Southeast Asia”.
