These days are complicated but, in spite of this difficulty we believe that a great opportunity may arise. The reTHINKING competitions team together with Fran Silvestre arquitectos and Luciano Kruk, is very happy to announce the new launch of the international competition # 023 VIETNAM RICEFIELD LODGE.

A great opportunity for young architects to enter a competition where they can showcase the wonderful ideas they are capable of bringing to the world of architecture.

INFORMATION

The Vietnam Ricefield Lodge competition presents a space where the relationship between nature and human can be experienced. The project must highlight the uniqueness of the location and that it become a space where, on the one hand a Vietnamese family can continue with their daily life and on the other hand a tourist is able to know and understand their culture.

This last point is important since tourists from Europe or America arrive constantly interested in immersing themselves fully in Asian culture and there is no better way to do so than living, cooking or working with them.
What is the basis for this kind of architecture?

We need a meeting space between farmers and tourists.

AWARDS – 3000 Euros

A special recognition will be made for the 13 best proposals, awarding a prize of a total of € 3,000 distributed as follows:

First prize – € 1,500
Second prize – € 1,000
Third prize – € 500
Special reTH! NKING Prize – Contest Entry (€ 50)
+ 10 Honorable Mentions – No financial endowment

In addition, the rethinking team is committed to the dissemination of the project through:

-Publication in magazines
-Publication on architecture blogs / websites
-Publication in the reTHINKING media
