Riccardo Blumer Installations at Venice Biennale in 2018
Riccardo Blumer installations — Wall and Space — at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia
English text (scroll down for Italian):
ARCHITETTURE AUTOMATICHE
The two installations Wall and Space are the result of a work developed in USI Mendrisio Academy of architecture during the 2016-17 session, which ended with an exhibition called “Sette Architetture Automatiche e altri esercizi” in Mendrisio Teatro dell’architettura.

All the works, included the two shown in the exhibition, investigate, through automatic movements, the Freespace extreme conditions.
Riccardo Blumer Wall Installation at Venice Architecture Biennale 2018:
Wall, by Lorela Arapi, Stefano Clerici and Andrea Cappellaro, is a machine, which continuously creates minimal surfaces, composed by water and soap, made visible just by the light reflection. Sectors of a big wall, almost insubstantial, lasting few seconds.
Space, by Georgios Voutsis, generates, through a genetic algorithm based on geometrical rules and architectural types, infinite spatial variants, modifying the height of the 81 parallelepipeds which compose its orthogonal matrix.
Riccardo Blumer, in Mendrisio Academy of architecture, promotes experimental exercises which, through the contamination with other technical disciplines, produce reflections and thoughts on the evolution of architecture.
Italian text:
ARCHITETTURE AUTOMATICHE
