Born in Genoa, Italy, in 1937, Renzo Piano developed an early appreciation for construction through his family’s building business before studying architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. Following collaborations with leading architects including Louis Kahn and Richard Rogers, he established Renzo Piano Building Workshop, creating a studio renowned for combining engineering precision with architectural elegance.
