The country was shocked by a catastrophic earthquake on January 12, 2010. The quake affected around three million people, with more than 315,000 fatalities.

Over 280,000 collapsed or damaged buildings. Port-au-Prince was the most devoured city by this tragedy, and within its lovely cathedral, “Notre Dame de l’Assomption”.

Prefabricated concrete panels provide safe working modules while control and management get easier and in-site labor becomes more precise. Sustainability means affordability and survivability, therefore, low-cost structures designed to resist earthquakes and hurricanes are our priority.

U.S.-based, international designers Sorg Architects, the firm behind over 250 projects in the US and abroad, has designed new, sustainable, staff housing for the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
