David Chipperfield wins this major development, beating celebrated architects Grimshaw and Hopkins Architects. Key issues for the site include ensuring good pedestrian flow via the South Bank and Waterloo Station

Surprisingly the scheme is criticised not just for its (widley discussed) effect on key London views but for the actual appearance of the three towers and also for the way they interrelate to each other.
