IPUT Appoint Hassell To Lead Ground-breaking Five Year Study, ‘making Impact’, Measuring The Impact Of Placemaking In Dublin’s Wilton Park

8th February 2023 | IPUT Real Estate (‘IPUT’), Ireland’s leading property company and the largest owner of offices and logistics assets in Dublin, announces the launch of ‘Making Impact’; believed to be one of the first ever studies to quantify the long-term impacts of various social, economic, environmental, and cultural investments on a longitudinal basis.

This study will become an important resource for those currently focussed on reinvigorating and reimagining cities. IPUT has appointed a multidisciplinary team of three international placemaking and design experts – Hassell, PRD and Gehl – who will collaborate to assess the impact of placemaking in IPUT’s Wilton Park development in Dublin.

Headquarters for a global tech firm, Wilton Park is a 600,000 sq. ft. landmark mixed use development, which has been designed for connectivity and collaboration. Set for completion by the end of 2023, Wilton Park incorporates 580,000 sq. ft. of offices and 20,000 sq. ft. of food & beverage space surrounding a one acre city park and a new streetscape.

Making Impact

The ‘Making Impact’ study will measure social value and the impact of placemaking on the local community and neighbourhood at the Wilton Park development over a period of five years.

The ambitious study is driven by IPUT’s belief in the value of placemaking, shared by Hassell and our project partners.

With that in mind, we feel that this project has the potential to set a new benchmark for placemaking quality, excellence, and accountability in the commercial real estate sector at a global scale, and the opportunity to become a source of knowledge and inspiration for developers and city architects world-wide.’’
