Nautilus Apartments consists of 28 apartments and are a mixture of 1 and 2 bed right in the centre of the village. It was the only building in the Devon and Cornwall region to receive an Royal Institute of British Architects Award in 2005.
The crescent plan is based on a nautilus shell and the roof designed to mimic the waves. Each Nautilus Apartment has the floor to ceiling windows with views to Lundy Island and beyond.

Guy Greenfield Architects was established in 1990
This British architecture practice has won a range of RIBA and other awards, most notably being Stirling Prize finalists in 2001. The design practice is particularly concerned with attention to detail, quality, materials and innovation. Guy was born in Birmingham, West Midlands, in 1959.
He studied building technology at Brunel University, followed by Oxford School of Architecture, England, and Cornel University, USA. He qualified in 1986. Since its inception the architectural practice has worked for on a wide variety of building types in both the UK and overseas.
