Darwin Centre building
The ‘Cocoon’ at the centre of the design is a beautiful and mysterious object, captured within a spacious glass atrium and the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity and the Attenborough Studio inspire a new generation of scientists with their amazingly energetic and helpful staff. Danish architectural practice C. F. Møller Architects was chosen for the commission in 2001, in competition with 59 other international architectural firms.

Design Museum Building
Founding the Design Museum in Shad Thames in 1989 following an innovative start as the Boilerhouse in the basement of the Victoria and Albert Museum, Sir Terence Conran was a visionary mentor, leader and philanthropist.

The scheme, which overlooks London City Airport across the water, comprises 800 flats and self contained studios within five seven storey blocks perpendicular to the dock. A series of informal collegiate courtyard gardens line the dock edge.
