SUMMARY:
The idea of the Lotus Amphitheater is taken from the architectural form of the Safavid era in Iran. The wall patterns and light panels are decorated with 5o7 of Safavid architecture (5-o-7 or Panj-o-Haft – the numbers “5” and “7” in Persian), with a seating arrangement on different levels, and have created an artistic atmosphere inside the hall.
In the center of the amphitheater, a hole was created to use natural light with a solar tunnel. The exterior of It is inspired by a lotus that was used in many designs of the Achaemenid period. Using light, music, and form, audiences experience a hierarchy from the heyday of Iranian architecture.
DESCRIPTION:
The idea of Lotus Amphitheater emerged from the architectural figure of the Safavid era, the most significant artistic period in Iran. During this period, a dome-shaped space was held for Eid ceremonies, Shahnameh readings, and musical performances, and people gathered in those places. This amphitheater has been created to keep the art and culture of ancient Iran alive. The exterior side is inspired by a lotus that was used in many designs of the Achaemenid period.
