The new Arthur Erickson website is launched
Replacing the original website started in 1998, the new website is perhaps the largest independent architectural website in the world- with over 440 photos, all accompanied by text, in 3 main categories: Buildings, Houses, Interiors and Planning.

Over time there will be many updates, as the amount of material is so vast, it is not possible to include everything in this initial launch. Most people are aware of only a small number of projects Arthur designed, so we hope this will help to educate and enrich their understanding of this great Canadian.

Telecommunications headquarters building & radio tower: ‘golf ball tower’
One of the world’s most distinctive skyscrapers, the Etisalat Tower is topped by a large sphere which many people liken to a “giant golf ball”.
There is a similar Etisalat Tower in Fujairah, also in the United Arab Emirates.

The Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is renowned for its displays of world arts and cultures, in particular works by First Nation band governments of the Pacific Northwest. As well as being a major tourist destination, MOA is a research and teaching museum, where UBC courses in art, anthropology, archaeology, conservation, and museum studies are given. MOA houses 38,000 ethnographic objects, as well as 535,000 archaeological objects in its building alone.
