Bang Bang Oriental Food Hall in London

Bang Bang Oriental Food Hall
Architects: Stiff + Trevillion
Location: 399 Edgware Rd, London NW9 0FH, England
Constructed on the site of the former ‘Oriental City’ food court in a Sheppard Robson designed building, the Bang Bang concept layers a contemporary filter over the pan-asian culinary experience.
With up to 32 individual kiosks, each unique in their offering but elevationally homogenous in the overall aesthetic, the scheme brings a stylish coherence to the hustle and bustle of an authentic street food experience.
The architectural design emphasis is on clean lines and eastern minimalism, utilising robust natural materials and a muted pallet that is peppered with the colours of the orient. Timber and concrete are celebrated and the signature diagonal tiling draws the Bang Bang brand into the architecture.
